The design of the extension to the 1920 heritage building seeks to find a meaningful balance between the old and the new. Tucking away the extension to the corner of the site and thus creating large additional space for landscaping and gardening has provided favorable conditions for the heritage building to stand out and be respected. Referring to the concept of rock gardening, the new building extension blends seamlessly with the landscape, which in turn - again - give the stage to the old building to gain attention.
