Sustainable Heritage Management Executive Course: UNESCO Competence Framework for Cultural Heritage Management

UNESCO Bangkok and HKICON in cooperation with Think City Institute Certifies Level 3 Core Competences on SHM EX 2023

Our principal, Soehardi Hartono, has demonstrated a high level of expertise by achieving "Good Competence" in the Level 3 Core Competencies of UNESCO’s Competence Framework for Cultural Heritage Management. This recognition highlights his advanced skills and knowledge, in line with international standards for heritage professionals.


He also successfully completed the prestigious Sustainable Heritage Management Executive Course (SHM EX 2023), organized by UNESCO Bangkok and HKICON in collaboration with ThinkCity Institute. The course was designed to equip heritage professionals with practical strategies for managing cultural heritage in a sustainable way. It addressed the challenges of heritage management in the context of rapid urbanization, environmental changes, and socio-economic shifts.


Throughout the program, participants explored topics such as integrating heritage into urban planning, fostering public-private partnerships, and using heritage as a tool for community and economic development. The course provided a platform for professionals to exchange knowledge and develop innovative solutions for preserving heritage while promoting sustainable growth.
